PerlIO::via::json

This package implements a PerlIO layer. Opening an XML file, e.g.

open my $fh, '<:via(json)', 'file.xml' or die ....;

the XML is transformed into JSON with XML::XML2JSON:

my $json = <$fh>;

Going the other way, you can write JSON and it becomes XML:

open my $fh, '>:via(json)', 'file.xml' or die ....; my $json = '....';
print $fh $json;

INSTALLATION

To install this module type the following:

perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install (probably as root)

DEPENDENCIES

This module runs only with perl 5.8.1 or higher with perlio enabled. It requires XML::XML2JSON.
